REIMS is available on Windows, UNIX, Linux and IBM i (for Power Systems including AS/400, iSeries and System i)

Operating Systems *
REIMS can be run on:

• Windows: 2008 and 2003 Server
• UNIX: HP-UX, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX
• Linux: Red Hat, Novell
• IBM i for Power Systems including AS/400, iSeries and System i5.

Databases *
REIMS runs on Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Apache Derby and interfaces to application environments in all standard databases.

Combined Architecture for advanced capability and functionality on multiple platforms
REIMS is a unique product in that it combines native platform-based elements with Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE) operating environments, bringing together the best of both worlds. By using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Event Driven architecture principles REIMS V6 has achieved a huge level of flexibility and integration capabilities.

In addition, operating system resilience and virtualisation tools can be combined with REIMS Resilience or Always On Availability functionality to provide the very highest level of service continuity required by the customer.

REIMS on Windows
REIMS has been developed to combine the newer native Windows and Java EE operating environments. We support the Microsoft .NET framework and REIMS V6 runs on Windows Server 2008 or 2003 and utilises Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or 2005.

REIMS on UNIX
REIMS runs on AIX, HP-UX (HP 9000 and Integrity Servers) or Oracle Sun Solaris with a 64-bit kernel. It supports a variety of databases, such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, Apache Derby, MySQL or IBM DB2.

REIMS on Linux (developed for Cloud-based deployments)
REIMS on Linux is a forward looking solution for any enterprise. REIMS V6 runs on Linux (Red Hat, Novell SUSE) and is SAA's preferred operating system for Cloud installations as it couples REIMS Linux and Java EE functionality for flexible deployment.

REIMS on IBM i (for Power Systems including AS/400, iSeries and System i)
REIMS V6 has been updated in line with the latest IBM i developments in V6 R1 of the operating system and has been completely recompiled and rebuilt for this environment and for the new V7 R1 2010 release. However it is still available to run under V5 R4.
